These places are thronged by a large number of bird watchers. Some of the places perfect for Goa bird watching are as follows:

Beira Mar

Goa bird watching will be regarded incomplete if you don’t visit Beira Mar. Having as many as 40 species of birds that includes Rose-ringed Parakeets, Green Bee-eaters, Blue-tailed Bee-eaters, White-throated Kingfisher, Spotted Owlet, Rock Doves, Black Kites, White Rumped Munia, Oriental Turtle Doves etc. it will be a great experience for the tourists.

Arpora Forest (Baga Forest)-

A large number of bird watchers also visit the Arpora forest in order to have a look of the variety of species. Some of the species of birds available here includes Black-rumped Flameback, Bulbul, Oriental Honey Buzzard, Jungle Babblers etc.

Baga Fields

Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz mainly comprises of sandy pools and scrub. However, the main attraction of the place is the wide variety of birds present here. The variety of birds found here includes Red-wattled Lapwing, Black tailed Godwit, Terek Sandpipers, Greenshank, Sandpiper, Grey Plover, Black winged Stilt etc.

Chorao Island -
