It is located in the north of Panaji and is near to Belgaum, which covers an area of 240 square kilometers. Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary is also located on the Western Ghats, which houses different types of wild animals and it houses the famous temple of Tambdisurla, which is about 13 kilometers from this sanctuary. There are number of cottages and tents which are available in the sanctuary. You can also enjoy sunrise from the sanctuary amidst the Western Hills.
